Systems Engineering Conference

Systems Engineering is a major ingredient for the design approach of complex high tch systems. Especially in large engineering teams profound Systems Engineering is unavoidable, but smaller teams profit from it as well. In the Netherlands, Systems Engineering was introduced by Philips halfway the 20st century. Nowadays the large OEMs in the region have Systems Engineering methods based on the approach of Philips, however much improved. The whole Supply Chain of these OEMs use this method as well, making it a unique working method of the Dutch eco-system. The Next-Gen Systems Engineering program aims to further improve the collaboration of our engineers regarding Systems Engineering. Fontys University of Applied Science plays a major role in propagating Systems Engineering in smaller companies and especially also amongst engineering students. Professor Erik Puik of Fontys will introduce his booklet ‘Beyond the V-model’, especially written for this occasion.

In this conference the morning is filled with lectures about Systems Engineering by Fontys and the Technical Universities of Eindhoven, Twente and Delft.

In the afternoon PhD students from the universities, doing their research in practise, will elaborate about their experience

There is sufficient room for discussion with all participants exchanging expierence on using Systems Engineering in practise. A forum discussion will be the closure of the conference.
